Hurricane Irma

Friends; 

As Hurricane Irma approaches, it looks like the path will be on track to be a potentially strong an devastating storm as it travels up central Florida and Georgia.  By the time the storm enters Tennessee and Kentucky, it's forecasted that Irma may still have Tropical storm / depression related winds associated with it.  We ask that you keep everyone in the path of this storm in your thoughts and prayers.  

As the storm approaches, we may discern how we can best support clean up and support efforts as a community.  Many of our sisters and brothers in Christ will be misplaced / displaced as a result of this storm.  Water, food, resources, and volunteers may all be needed. 

Let us begin discerning today how we can support.  We've already started support for Hurricane Harvey.  

God, guide us as disciples, as a community representing love and peace; help us to focus and know where you are leading us; how can we be supportive; what resources do we have that we may be able to contribute. Amen.
